Meditation, Mindfulness, and Enlightened Master

When I was in high school an older friend who was kind of quirky said to me, “Life is like a freeway and we are all looking for our own turn-off.”  He thought that was profound, and his tone was soap opera dramatic and his expression professorial.  I laughed.  What else could a 16-year-old beach girl do with that moment?

Looking back on that moment many decades forward still makes me laugh because I remember my friend and his slow speech and over-active mind.  But from my mature vantage point I also get the wisdom inside of the proclamation.

MEDITATION, MINDFULNESS, AND ENLIGHTENMENT

I was cruising along in my life, family, friends, work, dogs, and ocean breezes, until one magical night when everything changed.  In that one mystic moment, with that one Enlightened Master, I found an unmarked freeway exit and my life changed forever.  Like most freeway exits, mine was an entrance into a whole new world that to this day is filled with the practices meditation and mindfulness.  I was not consciously looking for the entrance, but somehow it found me.

MEETING RAMA, DR. FREDERICK LENZ.

Keep your mind and heart open because in the blink of a mystic eye, you may be found by magic.  My teacher, Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz, taught that we had no idea why we were there in his class.  “You are drawn like a moth to the flame.”

If you are curious about the magic in the pathway to enlightenment you can experience the direct teachings of Rama by clicking here.
